What’s the best gift I have received from a client? I mean, outside of their amazing transformations (duh), it has to be these No Bake Cookies that one of my longtime clients and friends, Tami, gifted me. I wanted to share the recipe with ya’ll because they are so delicious! They remind me of the Girl Scout Samoa cookies. They are grain free and don’t contain any gluten, dairy, or eggs. This means HOORAH for my skin/eczema/digestion! Can anyone else relate? If needed, you could definitely swap out Almond Butter with a nut free option like SunButter (made from Sunflower seeds). Paleo No Bake Cookie Recipe: What is life without cookies, birthday cakes, chocolate, or a margarita and chips (ok, these are all my favorites)? I always emphasize to my clients that “all foods fit.” I couldn’t ever give up my favorite, non-negotiable foods. And I don’t expect you or any of my clients to abstain from tasty foods. I have found that by integrating indulgences (NOT cheat foods/meals/days) for both myself and my clients, you feel less deprived and more satiated. I actually hate referencing eating indulgences as a “cheat.” It encourages a poor relationship (and connotation) with food. Cheat style eating promotes the restrict and binge mentality that I see too often in the industry. Remember that food has value beyond fuel. Food should also be enjoyment, taste, celebration, traditions, and experience. It’s more unhealthy to sit down and eat all the foods vs having these foods sprinkled in throughout the week. I believe that a healthy approach includes all foods. And the result is that you can live in a more comfortable, relaxed life around food and be healthy without disordered thoughts, habits, or approaches around food.
