Strong Girl,
So you want to lose fat (not just weight on the scale) but you’re unsure of the best way to achieve your dream physique… Here’s how to get started.
Step # 1: Create a caloric deficit ⚖️
In order to see fat loss, you have to create a caloric deficit and eat below your maintenance calories (ie: eat less than what your body requires). This means you have to actually *test and determine your maintenance calories first. Don’t just rely on an online calculator. I repeat, you are so much more complicated than a math formula. You could need MORE or LESS calories than what a calculator determines as your maintenance.

When creating a Calorie Deficit:
✔️ You don’t have to do cardio or HIIT to lose weight (Amen)! You simply need to be in a calorie deficit. Although some women may use Cardio to support fat loss. As a Coach, I prefer to use this as a last resort.
✔️ It really doesn’t matter how you achieve the caloric deficit. You can eat carbs (or not), do Paleo, Keto, Intermittent Fasting, etc, etc. BUT ALSO… why restrict certain food groups when you don’t have to?
✔️ You want to pick a way of eating that is sustainable for you.
✔️ The best way of dieting for you is the one you can do consistently and enjoy doing.
⚠️ Disclaimer:
Make sure you’re in a position to lose weight. You should be in an off-season from your competitions, you shouldn’t be struggling with thyroid, hormonal issues, stress/sleep, energy, libido, etc. And you shouldn’t be coming from a place of chronically dieting. If you are, you probably need to spend more time addressing these issues.
