Losing fat doesn’t have to include carb cycling, Intermittent Fasting, or HIIT training ❌
My badass client Tara lost 35 pounds and 18 inches over 1 year by doing boring, simple, unsexy things really well. Between juggling twin children in school, a full time job, & school… Tara learned how to prioritize her health & fuel her body.
☑️ Tara started by tracking calories with customized targets that were built around her specific needs, goals, and lifestyle. This kept her accountable to her total intake as well as her protein. We opted for a more flexible plan, which meant she tracked only calories and protein, and simply let the carbs and fats shake into place. We also focused on meal planning and nutrient timing, which looked like making quick, easy, and sustainable meals and snacks for Tara, her husband, and children.
☑️ We prioritized Protein with each meal/snack to boost metabolism, improve satiety, preserve lean muscle mass, and support blood sugars. We focused on adding a quick and convenient protein sources at meals and snacks for Tara’s busy lifestyle.
☑️ And we boosted her daily steps/movement (with a goal of 5,000 steps a day) to increase her daily movement and expenditure and focused on easy and fun ways to move more in the day.
It’s also important to mention that we didn’t eliminate any foods or food groups from Tara’s diet. We had her focus on eating enough calories to support her metabolism. The way you LOSE fat should be a way that’s sustainable. So if you can’t imagine a life without carbs, it probably doesn’t make sense to cut them out to lose weight quickly, and then add them back in and not know how to regulate them only to regain the weight back (plus more.)
