I hope ya’ll have a wonderful upcoming Christmas/Holiday week/weekend.
Without guilt or shame surrounding your food choices 😉
I am just here to again remind you that sure, “food is fuel,” BUT food is also culture, tradition, celebration, comfort, and flavor 🙂 Trust me, ya’ll, I’m a Dietitian that LOVES her desserts (just ask Jason).
I am also curious: Do you and your families exchange gifts?
About 10-15 years ago my family decided to stop buying/giving gifts to one another, and instead, plan get-togethers and vacations together as a family. I have to say- this makes the holidays so much less stressful for me. I haven’t set foot in a mall at the holidays in years! And then I get to 100% enjoy being present with my family (vs buying presents- lol).
Anyways, I don’t want to take up too much of your time that you can be spending with your families, friends, and other loved ones celebrating. I just wanted to pop into your inbox to say thanks for being a part of my fitness team and to share some quick travel tips/snacks for anyone that might be on the road this season. These are some great travel ideas to keep you well-fed, prevent the hunger/cravings, and support stable mood + energy. *Be sure to scroll below for travel nutrition.
I’ll be on “vacation” (a working vacation) visiting my fam in New York. And you best believe that I will have lots of snacks that I bring, and we will stop at a Wegmans to stock up some staples to keep us fueled and moving towards our fitness goals. We also have a gym near our house that we can go to as a guest. Am I perfect? Nah. There’s no such thing. Honestly, over the holidays, I aim to score a C+ to B- And you should probably too 😉
Maintaining isn’t a bad thing. PLUS you get all the post-holiday strength GAINZ!
I am excited to come alongside you this year and cheer for you!
