I wish I knew then what I know now… ❤️

But ultimately my failures are what led me to YOU.

Here are the Top 5️⃣ Lessons I’ve Learned Lifting Weights: 

1️⃣ Results don’t happen after 1 workout. Or in 1 month. Or even 6 months.
I’ve been consistently fueling my body & doing periodized strength training for over 10 years.

2️⃣ There is no “finish line” when it comes to personal health & fitness. Once you get to your “goal” you still have to maintain that.

3️⃣ To have that sculpted & lean body you desire, it usually means having more muscle than you currently have. And to gain muscle you need to be in a caloric surplus (eating more calories than maintenance).

4️⃣ 1 pound of muscle= 1 pound of fat.
However, muscle is more compact, which is why you might appear “smaller” even though the scale weight might be higher. Having more lean muscle actually improves your metabolism. Having more muscle mass allows your body to work FOR you even when you’re not active.

5️⃣ Toss the scale & focus on the weight on the barbell, your strength, looking good, & feeling good!

What lessons has strength training taught you?

Serving women and teaching them how to fuel their bodies, be a badass inside + outside the gym, and to no longer be at war with their bodies is my mission in life. I want to be the coach I wish I had when I was struggling with my eating disorder, and I don’t want anyone to experience what I did.
